Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum
Structure: A system of tubes through which material can move.
Function: This system is compiled of folds, tubes, and sacs that help to transport materials. The smooth endoplasmic reticulum takes on the jobs of packaging and transporting materials used to make proteins and other substances. The network of tubes curves through the cytoplasm of the plant cell.
